Wise Women Came
A group of maximinly marvelous women came to the Virtual Declutter Party Retreat last Saturday. A united community. United in fun. United in support. United in action. United in compassion. United in whelm to overwhelm. United in determination. United in discovery. United in personal intention. United in unfolding. United is self-care. United. Together.
And women together–we can do anything, can’t we?
Along the way some wonderful Clutter Discoveries unfolded from the brilliance of the group.
Clutter is emotional charged.
As a beautiful woman went through memorabilia, she found across something unexpected. Feelings. Emotions. Something that touched her deeply. Tears came.
There can be pain–there will be emotions–when we let go of our stuff…our things. Eventually there is a relief. A sense of freedom. A feeling of being less encumbered.
Clutter drains our energy.
As we declutter and things left our spaces and our lives, we talked about how we felt “lighter.” We got a little bounce in our step and a boost to our spirit as we let go of stuff.
There is an energy drain when we keep too much stuff.
Clutter required dedicated time.
Making time that is specifically for getting “the stuff” to it’s new “home” is key. Retreat Coach, Jo Hatcher, got her declutter ninja on with us. She said that she has found that taking 10-15 minutes each day to declutter works wonderful–and doesn’t feel so overwhelming.
There is power is making having a routine of clutter busting–albeit daily, weekly or monthly. Schedule an appointment with your clutter today. It’s a daily way of supporting yourself.
Clutter clearing in a community creates synergy.
What I was struck with is the power there was in the group process of taking on a common task–albeit a task that most of us avoid like the plague. Each call brought more energy. There was community. There was support. There was generosity. There was help. There was a joining of spirit and action.
There is power in a community moving towards results. Thank you my fellow clutter ninjas Michelle, Mandy, Bev, Jo, Helen, Carrie, Cathy, Karin, Carmen and Jill.

My Gift to Support You
My key learning was that this work is very important work–it’s self-care of the deepest kind.
Whether we admit it or not, our “too much stuff-ness” affects us each and every day. And not in a small way. Each piece of clutter keeps connected to us and robs our energy–every day.
Knowing that this work is important, I also heard loud and clear that this work needs to be on-going.
What I’ve designed to support all of us in reclaiming our energy is to give Six Free Clutter Busting Days each year (every other month) to the wise women who sign up for my Newsletter. It’s available exclusively to women who receive the Newsletter.
Sound like a sweet deal? IT IS. This is 30 hours a year of Free Clutter Coaching support!
Next month–May will be our next FREE Clutter Buster Day for the Newsletter Gang. Ready? You can sign up here!
