In Nature, in winter, I find my quiet and healthiest self.
I am so attracted to women who are strong and live true to themselves. When I saw this recent photo of Relationship Coach Joanie Yanusas pulling her freshly-cut Christmas tree out of her Pennsylvania woods, I had to stop and look twice. Joanie has always inspired me; her story is one that charts her unique path of living and loving – from being a homeschooling mom, to navigating the courts when her beloved son had challenges with the law, all the way to now being a leader in working with couples on sensitive topics including sexuality issues.
Her photo illustrates what a woman can be – strong in her body and resilient in her spirit. Her image invites us to consider who and how we want to be, now and in the future. It’s a powerful reminder of what you may already know – we are culmination of our day to day choices around the way we eat, move our body and live our lives. We all have the choice to make choices around our work and our schedules and all that supports our health. Or not.
