Why Retreat?
The Rich Benefits of Going On Retreat
Making time in your busy life to go on a retreat is one of the finest gifts you can give to yourself. A retreat is an investment in your health and in your personal relationship with yourself. A retreat will give you a chance to pause and look at your life from a new perspective and often unlock answers to the questions that you just may not take the time to ask. Taking a retreat is a nurturing “time-out” just for you; a time to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit; to re-connect with your authentic self; to re-connect with nature; to get quiet and spend you’re a space of time “being” rather than “doing.”
Going On Retreat with Retreat Coach Network Leaders
The Retreat Coach Network is a collective of highly trained Coaches and Retreat Leaders who are in or have completed the Certified Retreat Coach training with Master Certified Coach Helene Van Manen. These women bring their vast professional backgrounds into their retreat leading. Each has a unique style of leading retreats with topics and activities that reflect their own passions and interests, wrapped in their own authentic leadership style. Backgrounds include the corporate world, the non-profit sector, ministry, expressive arts, outdoor recreation, education, therapeutic modalities, social work, yoga and more.
The common thread that winds through this amazing professional community is each woman’s comprehensive training as Retreat Leaders. Coaching competencies, as prescribed by the International Coach Federation, first aid and other leadership essentials are all a part of their training program. This assures you that if you take a retreat with one of these Leaders, your experience will be both inspiring and rich with quality.
Becoming certified as a Retreat Coach has been a remarkable journey of learning about myself and the sacredness of gathering women together. I have gained confidence in myself and my abilities to lead retreats and I am committed to creating and holding a safe place for women to be on retreat.
